The Buoyant Kid: Eliminating Laziness
This world is made up of more people who aren’t happy with where they are in their lives, than those who are. In a perfect world, we would all be living the lives we’ve dreamt and aspired to live, but who would be the bank tellers, waiters and cleaners…?
Circumstances (usually finances and validation) may be the greatest barriers that people face when they are in pursuit of being the dream catches they have the potential to be. Another side to this would be priorities. You want a promotion/recognition but you aren’t doing anything about improving your skills/qualifications. Whilst you complain about how you somehow deserve better. There are people who study part time or practice more often. Being oblivious to how hard other people are working towards building their staircase to reach their dreams, you remain merely as a witness to their hard work paying off. In closing, don’t be a victim of your circumstances, be the conqueror.
Laziness has never and will never pay off. Success doesn’t come from complaining about the situation you are in so reduce the negativity and set your priorities straight. No one can make you as happy as you can, so you have to step up or shut up, don’t spread negativity. So when you find yourself unhappy in the position you are in, stop the complaining and get to the planning.

Heartwarming Story About Burnt Cookies - A MUST READ!
When I was a kid, my Mum liked to make food for dinner every now & then & I remembered one night in particular when she had made dinner after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my Mum placed a plate of bread jam and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remembered waiting to see if anyone noticed!
Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my Mum and ask me how my day was at school.
I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember hearing my Mum apologise to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said:"Honey, I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your mama put in a long hard day at work today and she's really tired.
And besides... A burnt biscuit never hurt anyone but harsh words do!"
You know, life is full of imperfect things... And imperfect people.
I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s faults and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences, is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
So...please pass me a biscuit.
And yes, the burnt one will do just fine!
And please pass this along to someone who has enriched your life...and me too if I just did!

The Buoyant Kid: High Standards
It’s easy to have high standards but it’s hard to have them maintained whenever we run into a situation that seems too great. [Think of a] coffee bean. It can be thrown in hot or cold water and no matter how extreme the temperature, it dissolves and its flavour remains just as good. We need to adapt to all the situations we face and remain in our “goodness”. Failure may not be an option, but it can be a challenge.
No challenge should let us lose sight of who we are and leave our dreams pending for all the tomorrows we never seem to get to. Age shouldn’t be an excuse since; there are people who can mentor us closer to us being the dream catchers we are meant to be. Maybe Jay Z is not a realistic figure to have as a mentor, but he can be a source of inspiration. There are other people living their dreams at different magnitudes who may be able to guide you in your pursuit of dream catching. In closing, we are not our failures and mistakes, we are our perseverance and determination.
Tomorrow should be left for results and not for the work, today is worth the effort. Excuses are insults to the dreams that can bring us GENUINE happiness. Don’t let yourself live a life of missed dreams and regrets. Take charge and be the driver of the, 'strive for lived dreams' vehicle because it will never break down and leave you in the land of missed opportunities. We often hear how opportunities may come once in a lifetime, making your dreams is one of your greatest opportunities that life gives you the chance to pursue.

Learn to Think Outside the Box
You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night,
when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the
bus:
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could
only be one passenger in your car? Think before you continue reading.
This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a
job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going
to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take
the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the
perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find
your perfect mate again.

'I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the old lady to the hospital. I
would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.'
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought
limitations.
